How do you play Ball Connect?

Ball Connect is a flow puzzle game where you must connect pairs of matching colored balls by drawing paths on a grid. Click or tap on a colored ball endpoint and drag to draw a path to its matching color. Paths can only move horizontally or vertically (no diagonals), and they cannot cross or overlap other colored paths. In Classic mode, you must connect all pairs AND fill every cell on the grid to win.

What's the difference between Classic and Relaxed modes?

In Classic mode, you must connect all pairs of colored balls AND fill every single cell on the board to complete the puzzle. In Relaxed mode, you only need to connect all pairs - you don't have to fill every cell. Classic mode is more challenging and requires strategic planning, while Relaxed mode is more forgiving and easier to complete.

Can paths cross each other in Ball Connect?

No, paths cannot cross or overlap other colored paths. This is a core rule of the game. However, you can backtrack over your own path - dragging backward will erase the tail of your current path. If you start drawing from an endpoint that already has a path, the old path will be erased and replaced with the new one.

How does the hint system work?

Click the Hint button to get a suggestion for the next move. The game uses a built-in solver to calculate optimal paths and will highlight the next cell you should connect. You can use up to 3 hints per level by default. Hints are helpful when you're stuck or want to learn better solving strategies.

What board sizes are available?

Ball Connect offers five board sizes: 5×5, 6×6, 7×7, 8×8, and 9×9. Smaller boards (5×5, 6×6) are great for beginners and quick games. Medium boards (7×7) offer a balanced challenge. Larger boards (8×8, 9×9) provide complex puzzles that require advanced planning and strategy. You can also generate random levels for any board size.
